Hay/Balranald Landcare Network

National Landcare Program plant identification field day at Hay

The Hay/Balranald Landcare Network comprises of 3 Landcare groups:

* Hay Trees on Plains Landcare Inc
* Redbank Riparian Landcare Inc
* Homebush Landcare Inc

Collectively the groups provide a forum for the sharing of information regarding the sustainable management of natural resources in the Lower Murrumbidgee Catchment.

On-ground works have been completed in several areas to combat land degradation issues by these groups and individual landholders.

  • * Enhancing biodiversity values across the landscape
  • * Efficient and equitable water use regimes
  • * Protecting soil health and limiting soil erosion
  • * Pest animal and weed control programs
  • * Engaging land managers and the community in sustainable land use practices
