Current projects within the Hay / Balranald Landcare Network include: - Government grants (including Envirofund) to protect biodiversity, reduce soil erosion, revive wetlands and protect significant habitat areas.
- Revegetation and watering project for the 16 mile gums, south of Hay.
- Mungo Loop Touring Route development by the Homebush Landcare Group to help visitors read the landscape and interpret the local heritage en-route between Balranald and Mungo National Park.
- Development of the Redbank Land & Water Management Plan
- Utilising National Landcare Program (NLP) funding to work with the Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority via the Profitable Farmers, Sustainable Systems, Healthy Landscapes project to investigate efficient water use on pasture and floodplain systems.
- Current Envirofund project in the Homebush region to undertake rabbit control works to reduce the grazing pressure on the landscape during drought conditions.
