The Lower Murrumbidgee Catchment Landcare Network includes Landcare groups and other interested people in the Coleambally Irrigation Area & Districts and the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area & Districts, including the towns of Griffith, Leeton and Coleambally and Darlington Point.
The Lower Murrumbidgee Catchment Landcare Network meets on a ‘needs’ basis. Member Groups meet more regularly to discuss current projects and other activities.
A quarterly Landcare newsletter provides information and updates about group projects, upcoming events, funding opportunities, general information and field days.
To promote a positive Landcare perspective in the Lower Murrumbidgee community.

Natural resource issues impacting on the lower Murrumbidgee catchment include:
* Decline and fragmentation of native vegetation * High water tables and irrigation salinity * Weeds such as Prickly Pear and Boxthorn * Urban expansion
The Lower Murrumbidgee Catchment Landcare Network is helping to address the sustainable managment of natural resource through:
* Developing partnerships with Murrumbidgee Irrigation’s, EnviroWise and Coleambally Irrigation Cooperative Limited to carry out cooperative activities and on ground projects
* Seeking other funding opportunities to undertake on ground works
* Developing the skills and knowledge of landholders
