Scenic Hill is a large area of remnant vegetation adjoining the City of Griffith. The Built and Natural Environment Landcare Group have undertaken numerous activities to enhance the area including planting Hill Oaks to provide habitat for Glossy Black Cockatoos, weed control, and closing of redundant fire trails.

The Lower Murrumbidgee Catchment Landcare Network and Murrumbidgee Irrigation, EnviroWise have formed a partnership to develop Mirrool Creek as a major vegetation Corridor in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. Areas of remnant vegetation have been fenced, high flow control works have been completed and plantations established.
