Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority

Projects & Programs

Bridge at Gundagai on a cold and misty morning.

The Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority (MCMA) has a number of projects and programs in place to maintain and or improve the natural resources of the Catchment.

Activities are targeted to ensure that the greatest natural resource benefit is achieved.  The end result being improved soil health, water quality and vegetation condition leading to increased productivity and profitability of our catchment.

The greatest portion of funding for Projects and Programs in the Murrumbidgee comes from the NSW and Australian Government's National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality (NAP) and from landholders in the catchment.
