Community Projects and Programs

The Murrumbidgee CMA operates in partnership with the community to improve the overall environmental condition of the Murrumbidgee catchment.

Community participation is essential in achieving the Murrumbidgee Cathcment Action Plan targets.  Including the community as a separate asset gives due recognition to the community and the important role it plays in achieving targets.

The Murrumbidgee CMA works with private and public land managers, local government, Traditional Owners and Aboriginal people, Landcare Networks and Groups and youth.

Youth forums are held at more than five locations across the catchment on a annual basis, where high school students explore
