The Murrumbidgee CMA oversees the Australian and State Governments National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality investment in the Coleambally and Murrumbidgee Irrigation Areas Land and Water Management Plans.

The plans, in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (Enviro Wise) and Coleambally Irrigation Area, maintain and enhance the sustainability and profitability of irrigated agriculture.

Outputs produced by both Coleambally Irrigation and MIA Enviro Wise include:

• High technology horticultural irrigation system
• Irrigation efficiency system
• Whole farm plans
• Draining recylcling system
• Annual pasture converted to perennial pastures
• On-farm recycling & storage systems
• Sub-surface drainage
• Farm channel seepage control works
